Setup your blog in minutes – 3 Easy steps

It’s awesome you are ready to take the leap to launching your personal brand.

Below I will layout 3 easy steps to setup your blog via Blue Host in minutes just like I did.

There are some screenshots that walk you through the process.

If you want to launch your blog now and refer to them later go ahead and click here

Before I layout the steps, I think is important to adopt the proper mindset when when heading into launching your blog/website.

Commit yourself to launching yourself like its a business, because it is!

Don’t think of yourself like your just a beginner blogger that will launch a little site and see what happens.

You are a business entity, a startup, and a future influencer in your niche and you should look at yourself as such.

Go to market (launch your blog) with a look and feel that commands respect and exudes confidence.

Don’t lose sleep over the perfect theme, just roll with one that works and you can always re-address things later.

I really believe the phrase that “perception is reality” is true in many aspects of life, so come out of the gates with a strong presence that looks professional.

We all know how important first impressions are for interviews, so think of the same concept here to win over new users that will come back for more.

3 quick and easy steps to launching your blog:

There are a variety of free website builders and hosting companies, but all I heard about was how easy working with Blue Host is, and not to mention it kills 2 birds with one stone.

Many of the successful online Entrepreneurs and influencers use BlueHoust, and its more than affordable at under $5 per month!

One of the most convenient things about Blue Host is that you can both setup your Word press Blog and nail down hosting at the same time, its real simple.

Step 1:

You can check out Blue Host and and purchase the basic plan for the year where you can also nail down your website domain name which is included as free!

Blue Host is one of the most reputable website hosting companies serving over 2 million customers.

I looked at others out there while doing my research, and these guys are the choice of many of the most successful bloggers and Entrepreneurs online today.

This is where you will first land, the Blue Host homepage:

Click “get started now”

Now enter your details and hit confirm. You can uncheck the boxes you do not want to pay extra for.

They are just up-sells that you shouldn’t need anyway.

Step 3:

All done! Start Getting acquainted with the WordPress control panel, and dig into WP Beginner and all other resources you have at your disposal.

You don’t have to learn everything all at once, focus on a few things at a time that are relevant to where your at in the process.

Don’t get overwhelmed, you don’t need to learn things overnight.

Keep a balanced mindset and stay focused.

Make sure to save your respective passwords for Blue Host and Word Press in a safe place, and make sure your passwords are secure.

I don’t have any screen shots here, this is where you need to start absorbing info like a sponge.

Plus any screen shots wouldn’t do any justice for all the resources and awesome tutorials there are out there.

Resources for WordPress:

Important points:

If you typically choose a simple easy to remember password for other logins, take the extra second and pick one that is a bit stronger.

WP Beginner:

From my experience, WP Beginner is the best online resource for WP beginners, and it’s all 100% free!

WP Beginner CEO Syed Balkhi built WP Beginner because he was in the same shoes as an online Entrepreneur all of us were and wanted to create the best resource for Beginner WP users.

He hit the nail right on the head, it’s an amazing resource.

I referred to their content every single day when first starting the site, and still do.  I can’t say enough about it. They have videos and step by step tutorials for everything.

No I am not an affiliate of WP, just a huge fan because of the value they bring.

Google:

Yes, I am saying have a tab open in your browser just for searching other sources.

See what people have to say about themes, plugins, and widgets.

You honestly don’t need to go further than WP Beginner, but I always searched in You Tube and Google to see what others had to say.

You Tube:

I always see what clarity I can get from videos on YT.

I like video tutorials cause they really drive home the point for me, and there are tons of them.

WP Beginner might be all you need, but I still look at YT from time to time.
